My ice maker in my KitchenAid built-in was dripping when it would refill the ice maker tray. Not sure what the problem with the old unit was. I had to keep a towel in the freezer to catch all the water drops from dripping all over everything. I did that for over a year. What a hassle.I finally decided to replace the ice maker. It was pretty easy to replace. My fridge had 3 screws and a wire harness. The only trick is to remove the motor cover of the ice maker to access the wire harness release.Once installed, I let it cool down a few hours before I started making ice. This replacement unit filled the tray with no drips and the ice came out perfectly. It seems the ice is even clearer than the old maker. So happy; wish I replaced this a long time ago.
