Wow, this sure works well. I have used a lot of different box mixes, for muffins, cakes, and specific donut mix, all subbed out with egg replacer powder instead of eggs and no oil. All have worked great! I like the donut hole ("cake pop") maker better, though - it makes a full dozen and they're so easy to coat. This is cool, too, though. I like that they are not too bulky and easy to stash in my cupboard. Heats up fast. Cooks fast. Don't hesitate to only mix up a small batch of batter - I don't even measure the mixes anymore - just our, add some egg replacer, pour in some non-dairy milk to get it to the right consistency, and go. Mini donuts every time are dangerous, but delicious.
