I have a '97 Chevy K2500 with 60/40 bench seat. It has electric 6-way driver's seat, pneumatic lumbar on both seats, levers to adjust recline, levers to release the seats for rear access and a console type arm rest. Essentially it's an old truck with a complicated seat. CoverKing claims to have the best fitting seat covers in the industry so I gave them a try. My covers were basically well made but some of the stitching on the armrest is missing. The shape and fit of the fabric panels is perfect. They match the factory covers exactly. But many of the cutouts for switches, hinges, levers and seat belts are out of place. I contacted CoverKing with a very detailed description but they couldn't follow it. They asked for pictures. I sent a dozen pictures illustrating the problems and they said the covers fit as well as could be expected for a non-stretchy fabric (cordura). They said the problem is my seats, that GM isn't consistent about how they build them. I find that explanation unacceptable. I asked for some replacement pieces without cutouts. They did send replacements but they had cutouts, just different ones. In the end I made my own cutouts and other alterations to get an acceptable fit. Now I have seat covers that fit pretty good but have unused original cutouts in odd places. This is an old truck and I wasn't looking to make it new again. I just wanted to protect the seat from rough use. Still, I'm disappointed that the covers didn't fit better. If this had been a nicer vehicle I'd have sent the covers back. To be fair there are many different seat options in this truck and mine is probably the most complex and difficult to fit. But even basic things like the headrests didn't fit snug. It would have been better just to make the covers without some of the cutouts for switches and levers and let the customer custom fit it. I recommend that anyone looking to buy complicated seat covers like these consider if it wouldn't be best to specify no seat options and do their own fitting.
