This is a no nonsense rock album with haunting ballads. An especially emotional album, all of the songs' lyrics carry incredibly strong, serious undertones. Topics range from tainted love (a year before Soft Cell remade "Tainted Love") to revolutionary politics. (Their song "Bloody Sunday" predated U2's "Sunday Bloody Sunday" by three years.) But a DJ could pick up this album and think it was recorded yesterday. It's still musically and lyrically relevant.
