The installation was super easy on my Yamaha Bolt. The primary wiring was a dream, although I did have to splice the day runner wire into the aux power on my bike, because I didn't feel like buying a connector piece. It took about 3 minutes with solder and tape. The solder was only because I happened to find it in my toolbox. If you expose enough copper, with just twisting and electrical tape, it would probably last you 10-20 years of hard riding. I found there to be a sufficient amount of space to tuck all the wiring away into the housing, which I was concerned with initially. My fork tubes are slightly thicker than the max for this so the screws were VERY short, which I've also read other people complain about. (They kinda are.) However, it was very easy to pinch the metal bracket with my hand to get the nut on the screw. I'm kinda strong but not Hercules, so it shouldn't be that hard for the average man. (You will understand once you try it.) Once you start tightening it, the screw bends the bracket to where it needs to be, even using a small Allen wrench and cheap pliers. I would caution you not to overtighten it and only leave maybe a quarter inch of the screw sticking out if you have the maximum thickness fork tubes, lest you risk snapping the bracket.I highly recommend getting the day runner going even though it's an extra step, because on my bike it wasn't pulling enough current without it, and I was getting a warning light because of it. Once I connected the day runner it was drawing enough current to stop the warning. That's something else I was worried about because I know LEDs draw a lot less current. I'm relieved that it works with no added resistors. It looks really good and I'm waiting for it to get dark so I can test out the lightning pattern. If it's bad I'll come back and update my review. Otherwise my star rating stands.
