I'm a knitter and reader. I've tried many lights. Several were good but not perfect for my needs. I love the rolling base because it makes the light easy to move. The arm is very long with four joints including joint attached to light/magnifier. Initially I thought so many joints could be a lot of trouble and cause undesirable movement while in use. I was concerned for no reason. It's easy to get into position with no drifting. It's a mystery to me how this light is easily manipulated into position and just stays there. If I need to reposition, no problem. Move into another position and it stays there! Superior lighting without emitting heat which keeps me cool. I haven't had to use the magnifier much but works very well the few times I've used it. I should mention this light was recommended to me by two ladies who knit avidly and one is 78 and the other early 80's. I ordered this light from Amazon that very day and have used it every day since. This light is worth every bit of the price and more. Without a doubt this is one of those items " you get what you pay for"! Truly awesome light. Attractive too and easy to clean. I hope I never have to live without it because it has been life changing.I found it extremely hard to assemble. Either the bulb was bad or I broke it in assembly. I suspect the latter. I purchased a new bulb from Home Depot for about $9.00. It has worked fine since.A wonderful lamp for fiber artists with vision problems. The swing arm allows you to position the magnifier right over your work- no more headaches or blurred patterns. It also allows you to work faster. Just what I needed- THANKS!Missing all hardware to put this lamp/magnifier together.I use this light for detail work I would purchase it again and strongly recommend it the arm is very durableas advertized works well use in cleaning and repair station for small electrictonics also for analizing photos.Perfect!Met all expectations! A dream!
