This was perfect! We moved and I had two file boxes of important docs that moved with us. My new office was much smaller. No room for a free standing file cabinet. This fits perfectly in a closet, then wheels over to the desk. Would rather have this than the free standing file cabinet! I changed the door knob on the closet to a locking door know so the files are secure when needed. WillNot go back to the free standing file cabinet. This cart is full of files and is very sturdy.Very happy with the sturdiness & the fact that it has wheels. Easy to move from one area to anotherI received this cart today. I put it together fairly easily. The *fairly* comes from user error -- I didn't look at the pictures on the instruction sheet closely enough to figure out, at first, how to properly put on the plastic things that hold the shelf and and rack onto the posts (legs). For those who are similarly situated, especially people who wear bifocals, have a puppy helping them, and are working in dim light (nearly all light is dim at this point): The little black plastic things snap together *after* the shelf and rack are placed over them. The rack, for example, goes over the black things and that is what holds the rack on and keeps the black things from coming off. The picture shows round thing placement. It is a good idea to look at that closely instead of giving it a cursory glance and cost yourself time. Take it from me, trying to manually squeeze those black things together is impossible -- even if you have a teenage boy handy to make sure of this. The little wrench is for tightening the wheel screw. The dog is in his crate, the packaging debris is cleaned up, the cart is in my office and is filled with files. The pile on my desk just lost two feet in height.I am a happy camper.Edited to add: A year later, I am still happy with this product, so much so that I bought a second one. I am so organized now that it would amaze my former secretary. My only problem is that my terrier gets mischievous and sometimes removes hanging files and scatters the contents around on the floor. I know it would be too much to ask that a terrier-proof version be invented, so this falls under user-error.Update - Fixed the problem of files falling out. It turns out that IRIS makes a long file box that fits perfectly in this rolling file. IRIS Split-Lid Letter Size File Box, Large, Clear. I've seen them at the office supply store. It kept the files in place and resolved the problem of the files falling out.Update: I ended up tying some string to both sides of the cart to keep the folders from falling out. It's working. It's just the string I had on hand so it's not pretty, but my files no longer fall out and it was quick and inexpensive.Files fall out very easily!!! If you don't move them precisely straight, several of the hanging files fall out at once. The reason for 2 stars and not 1 is that the wheels work well. It is sturdy as long as you put it together properly. You need to make certain everything snaps together tightly or it appears to be wobbly. Once it is assembled correctly, it is sturdy.I had purchased another file cart years ago on ebay that was designed with a wire "cage" around the four sides of the files. I still have that one for home use and have never had a problem with files falling out.I intend to go to the hardware store and purchase either Masonite or pegboard to attach to the four sides to keep the files in place.I do not recommend this file cart unless you are willing to do extra work to make it serviceable. I will update this post after I fix the cart. I'm estimating repairs to be about $6 - $7. If I had known, I would have just purchased one that had sides in the first place, though.SUPER FAST SHIPPING. I seen a cart like this a someone's business. It cost around $80.00 at "Staples". I found this cart "Alera" on line. This one is the same exact cart but its a few inch's shorter. I feel its made just as well as the one for $80.00. But caution, this rolling cart is best used sitting. This is for all you that have bad backs, a few inch's can make a huge difference if your standing and having to bend over to pull files or paperwork. The top part of this cart comes to my KNEE. Yes, its that short, and I'm average height. So you may what to get a ruler to see exactly how high this cart really is. Hopefully this will give you an idea of how SHORT it is. This is what I recommend when buying hanging files for this cart. If you are using it for light use, any Hanging File Folder should work for you. If you are buying Hanging File Folders for med./ heavy use, buy heavy duty file folders (its worth the money in the long run). Well that's my review hope it helps, good luck.I have lots of papers lying on my desk so it was a time to buy any sort of filing system. I found this and thought this is better than any boxes or bulky cabinets. And it seems have good reviews so I bought.Overall, I like this one. It has a good looking. It also made out of solid steel. But the mechanism to attach trays to the poles are not perfectly crafted. It uses plastic around the poles and this plastic is slightly cone-like shaped so this can stop the trays falling down further. Apparently, some of the plastics are thinker or the poles are thicker or the holes on the trays are narrower. Whatever the reason is, it causes the tray not being leveled. I needed to hammer it down but the height of the tray at each pole is still not quite the same.Despite this, it does what it should do and it looks pretty.EASY TO PUT THEM TOGETHER BUT IT IS NOT SOLID STEADY WHEN ROLLING !
