PLEASE NOTE - Liner sizes are the size of the liner that you are receiving, not the size of the rink that they will work with. When selecting a liner, select a size that is at least 5' longer and 5' wider than your ice rink to account for rink board height. Creates Quality Ice - Our white ice rink liner reflects light easily, keeping your ice thick and solid throughout the season. The white plastic is perfect for making a professional looking backyard ice rink that will last the entire season. 6 Mil Thickness - Iron Sleek’s ice rink liner is engineered to a thickness of 6 Mil - creating a tear and puncture resistant liner that is perfect for any outdoor ice rink. It is an incredible liner that works with your existing ice rink kit. We offer a variety of different sizes for just about any skating rink kit. This liner has been working great so far in my backyard this winter. Measurements seemed to be accurate, I have a slightly different ratio for my rink, im trying to remember exactly what it is, but it was less than the size of the tarp like recommended and I had plenty of tarp on the edges as planned. The quality seems good, it's got a slick, shiny feel to it and I was able to spray paint lines on it before adding water which have stayed in place great. (The paint on the edges of the tarp above the ice is starting to chip off, but under the ice is holding. It MAY have tinted the water maybe, but I don't think so. I used yellow paint because I couldn't find red and we have high iron content in our well water, so the coloration is most likely the iron. I'm just saying, if you see a tint from the paint, it's not much. Anyway, setting it up was easy, I did it by myself without help and had no issues but it would be faster and easier with 2 or more people. This small of a tarp was easy enough to do alone. First I cleared ALL debris from the ground and raked it well so no leaves or twigs or sharp objects could ruin my tarp. Then I rolled it out down the middle and peeled the top half to one side, then the bottom half to the other side. This will make more sense when you see it but it's because of the way it is folded by design. As long as you roll it out down the middle, you won't have issues.Once I had the tarp laid out and in position I used some stones to hold down the edges but did NOT staple it tight yet. It's recommended to leave it loose enough that the weight of the water won't rip it. Once you have enough water in there I would suggest you pull it pretty tight and staple around the outside edge. I didn't exactly do this, I left it a little loose still from fear, but it appears to be effecting my ice. The edges are not freezing completely and I think it's because the tarp "wiggles" slightly in the wind or with the ice freezing. I am debating pulling it tight around all the edges and stapling it to find out, but my original goal was to avoid too many holes in the tarp so I can possibly use it again next year. It says it's only for one season but I think if you take care of it, you could get 2 or 3. I'm going to try! If I remember, I'll let you know next year.Overall, this tarp has been working fine for my rink, which by the way has an 9inch deep section, and the tarp is not tearing or showing signs of stress from anything. Even the shape corners of my boards haven't ripped holes in it. I think this is a great value for a tarp and would recommend for any first time rink builders like me that just want to see if they'll use it.
