After looking at a ton of products, watching videos and reading / watching reviews (especially reviews from people who actually bought the products and didn't receive for free), I decided to buy this set with the speed flare instead of the stream flare. First of all, I loved the idea that this breaks down easily, can be added to and set up with different configurations depending on where you might find yourself sluicing. I thought that this was a big advantage over a fold up metal box that is only one size and may or may not fit in some smaller streams as easily.Second, I expected the products to be a little more on the flimsy side as they are plastic. I could not have been more wrong. These items are extremely well designed and durable - although that is where my one minor issue (that others have not seem to have experienced) comes into play.I tested putting the two box sections together front to back, back to front and side by side. All fit perfectly without any gaps in seams at the connection points. But...The speed flare would not go together with the boxes without applying some effort and then... I could not get it off easily. I mean I had to put it on a workhorse and pound it with a hammer and bang on it as hard as I could with my palm to get it dislodged (actually hurt my hand a little - but that is my careless fault). Clearly, this would not be practical in the field.Contacted customer service on a Saturday afternoon (it was delivered Friday evening). Left a voicemail and didn't expect to hear back until at least Tuesday since Monday was a holiday. Two hours later, I got a text message from customer service asking if they could text with me about my issue so I would not have to wait until after the weekend. Uh... yeah you can! How awesome is that? I explained my situation and even sent them a video I took with my phone showing how I was pounding the *** out of the speed flare to try and get it off. Doing so did not damage the parts at all... I swear these things built TOUGH!I am not one who wants something for nothing and I certainly understand that no product is perfect 100% of the time, but the customer service that was provided to take care of this issue should be taught in business school. All I wanted was a replacement speed flare... and after chatting back and forth over texts, they recommended that I exchange it for the stream flare as the speed flares had a batch run that were coming out pretty tight. A little disappointed because I thought the concept of the speed flare is a really cool one, but no big deal to classify into my 5 gallon buckets first. No problem... I'll take the stream flare and asked if they would provide a label for me to return the speed flare. Nope - they told me to go ahead and just discard the speed flare if I didn't want it and they credited me the difference between the two packages. Stream flare showed up three days later with an extra snuffer bottle and a sticker (which will go on my 5 gallon bucket). All I wanted was an even fair exchange and I really feel that I got more than I deserved. I hate the phrase "exceed expectations" as it is so cliche, but that is exactly what happened... exceeded any expectations. Bravo!I can't say enough about how well I was treated and I look forward to testing out the sluice boxes soon. If you have any doubts about this product, watch the videos and search "Sluice Fox" on YouTube for third party reviews that were not "paid" for advertising. If you still want to go metal box, they have those too and if / when I upgrade, add to or need to replace well worn gold panning items - you know who I will call / order from.** Update - tested them out and worked perfectly **
