I bought RevitaDERM 40 back in 2014 to finally resolve a stubborn toe nail fungus issue (I don't know what the '4D' product is - might be a fake but the '40' is legit). I used it very diligently as indicated on the package. The infected nail softened so much that it pretty much dissolved entirely before growing back perfectly.I came back to buy more to see if this would be a better resolution to dry heels than mechanical exfoliation and moisturizing creams but found the price had jumped to $77!! I bought a different urea product to try this time though I still recommend this product if it can be found at a better price point.I'm sold. This stuff works as advertised. My left foot had developed a painful fissure on outside ball opposite the ball of my foot. From my research, this seems to be most common on peoples heels but I just had to be different, ha. I've always had calluses there but over the winter and spring a fissure developed and it was extremely painful. The pain would come and go but at its worst it would hobble me pretty badly. Trimming the callus down didn't help at all.I was at a loss until I found a couple of articles on the web about urea cream being recently approved for OTC sales and how it was suppose to soften the area around the callus and help with fissures. Since this cream is rather expensive I was leery but it had great reviews and the pain was so bad I decided to give it a try. When I received the cream I applied it immediately by coating the area around the fissure and then putting a sock on my foot (since usually go barefoot). Within a few hours it was bringing me relief to the pain. I would apply it 2-3 time a day. Within a couple of days the pain was completely gone. I kept this up for about 3 weeks and just as advertised the callused area had become soft and supple. While the remnants of the fissure seem to still be there it isn't a problem anymore since it isn't painful. I do have to reapply the cream once or twice a week which I do before bed and it is keeping me pain free. The cream isn't greasy at all and has a very mild odor that isn't at all unpleasant. It doesn't appear to stain although I just use it with an old sock so I don't know how it would do with fine fabric. I apply it with a Q-tip and if I set the Q-tip on top of the jar overnight by the morning the cream left on the Q-tip has hardened up and dried out (evidence that is isn't greasy). This jar should last me many years but if something were to happen to it I would order another jar with next day delivery. I'll never be without this stuff again. This is the only treatment that keeps my heels from cracking. So, when the price increased, I didn’t hesitate to still buy a replacement. But, considering the premium price, I was extremely disappointed to receive a busted lid and collapsed safety seal. I’ll have to find my next jar somewhere else.My feet look like I eat my dinner on a branch after I swooped down to catch it ... two treatments later, and you can stand to have my heels brush against you, and it not draw blood. FANTASTIC product!my feetI have been using a 40% urea cream for years after having it prescribed by a dermatologist. However, after going on medicare, they considered it over the counter and would not cover it. I could only get it through my pharmacy with a prescription and it was prohibitively expensive. A couple years ago, I found this on Amazon and have been using it ever since. If you have skin that cracks and bleeds, especially around the nails, this is for you! Apply it a few nights after a hot bath or shower and your hand will heal in a couple of days! I use it on my feet too when the callouses get too hard and crack.I have been using this cream for about 2 years when it was suggested by my Podiatrist to get rid of dead skin on my foot. It works so don't need to see Podiatrist as often.I’ve used this cream on my feet for about four years and it does a great job softening thick callouses and preventing cracks. The only reason I don’t give it five stars is that it takes some time to sink in and can leave a white powdery residue on socks. It also works well on knees and elbows, but I would be cautious about using it as an all over body cream because of the strength of the urea.
