This machine is perfect for making Taiwanese style shaved ice. It has an adjustable blade so you can make very fine, fluffy snow, or something more ice-y like snow cone or Hawaiian style. No, it doesn't come with English instructions, but it's very user friendly, and if you need help, there are lots of helpful (and entertaining) videos online. Some good advice is to start freezing ice pucks in advance and keep a bunch in your freezer so you can have some ready whenever you want. One puck makes a large serving. It works so fast, too! We went to our local Chinatown to pick up boba, grass jelly, red beans, mung beans, etc. Don't forget the condensed milk! You can also use flavored syrups or fresh fruit. Pricy to import but so worth it.
