I have a lake home, and where you have woods, you have mice. We definitely get mice, especially in the fall when they're looking for somewhere warm.I've always used no-touch snap traps, which work reasonably well, but I was looking for more choices. I tried making the equivalent of one of these after watching some YouTube videos. They kind of worked. These are better, but not perfect.You need a 5-gallon bucket. Drill two holes in the bucket. This thing has pins out the ends of the roller, and one of those is spring loaded, so snapping it in is easy. but then you have to build a mouse for the mice.Add peanut butter and leave it out.It DOES catch mice. However, it doesn't spin absolutely freely, and the mice can steal the peanut butter without falling into the bucket. So you might want to add some oil as well -- so they slide off instead of falling when (if) it spins.If you have a mouse problem, it's worth a try. You might have to futz with it. But I've caught as many as 4 mice overnight, and they're a lot easier to clean than if they make a mess with a snap trap. Just go dump the bucket in the woods, add more water, and put it back.Was wondering if a mouse would have enough weight to trip the lever. Sure enough, caught one the 1st night, using peanut butter and sunflower seed. He was released in a nearby field. This trap is easy to use; with a removable bait compartment. I will see how it holds up over the winter, sometimes extremely cold temps can affect the tolerances of plastic parts and mechanisms.nice trap very easy to useDespite being a pain to set up, and it also takes up a lot of room, this thing works 100% of the time. Every time. No joke.WORKSI only received the two rollers. Did not have the plastic/rubber discs that are placed in the center of the roller, as pictures in the description. I will update as to how effective this product is, once installed.The bearings do not spin as smoothly as I expected, so I added some 3 in 1 oil to loosen them up. I also spread 3 in 1 all over the exterior roller bar to make it slick, per the instructions. I'm guessing the manufacturers know their bearings are low-quality, and that's why they recommend oiling the whole thing. It works though; with some peanut butter on the rubber ring, I caught one mouse on the first night.Easy to use. I lubed it additionally with WD40 on the bearings and wiped down the roller surface with it also to make it really slick. Then set it up in the attic. Got my first one. Cons? You gotta fish em out the drink...Excelente trampa. Coloca crema de maní en medio del tubo. Yo atrapé 4 ratoncitos. En las fotos se pueden ver 2, después volví a poner la trampa. Usé guantes todo el tiempo para no dejar mi tufo, al momento de preparar la trampa. Prometo intenté con miel y granola, fracasé horrible. Tardé 5 días hasta que fui a comprar la crema de maní.
