-----DISLIKES:**NOISE is sometimes loud, but hey it's flipping ice. On a scale of 1-5, I will say 2. **TASTE-the ice taste ok, but the water is nasty! The other reviews were right. Even after being cleared numerous x it still has a freezer bite taste. And this was a huge disappointment for me becuz I bought it for this reason. Ur best bet is to just get a plain ole ice maker without the water. My biggest regret. Cause I don't use the water. If u can take the taste then I guess it will be ok. But to me it's nasty.**EASY to use, BUT u have to empty the bottom plug & refresh the water DAILY. Which is a pain. Who wants to drain it everyday?!**WATER compartments are too EXPOSED to the outside. There is only a door that u open & u pour in the water, but there's not seal around the door which makes it easy for dust or germs to get into the machine. If it had a seal it would make more sense.-----LIKES:**PRICE wasn't bad at all, but I could've gotten a cheaper one for half the price without the water. Because the water is nasty. But if it tastes better it would've been worth the price.**EASY to use & fully functional & convenient.**SPACE it doesn't need a lot of counter space at all. And it has rubber soles to prevent it from sliding around.**Convenient!! I love the little ice bullets. They're soft enough to chew, but frozen enough to use for drinks. There's a small & large size. But to me they look the same size to me.*****Overall my rating from 1-10, would be an 8. If the water tasted better & it had a seal around the water tanks it would've been a 10. But I'm not totally disappointed due to the price being decent & the convenience of the ice. Sorry for the long review, but I had to let others know what u were purchasing. On top, I love that you can see the ice; however, there is a gap between the clear door on top and it doesn't have a way to keep the ice at a good frozen temp. We had to resort to putting a thick towel on top to try and keep it as cold in there as possible so we don't waste the ice. We are in the south, so having ice water is the only way we keep hydrated with our heat and humidity. The worst feature of this machine is that you have to fill the water reservoir on the side of the machine and you have to find something to fit in the opening that won't resort to you spilling half the water all over the floor (which ive done multiple times). And I wish there was a bigger storage area for the ice. But the filter makes the water taste DELICIOUS!! And it is quite quiet!How this unit works: The water reservoir is filled through a door from the side. It holds exactly four pints (a half gallon). The machine makes ice, and once filled, it stops. Since the unit has no insulation whatsoever, the ice starts to melt. The melting ice water drains down into the water reservoir, thus "chilling" the water it dispenses. When the ice runs low, the machine will produce more ice. You'll have 55 degree "slightly chilled" dispensed water, and soft ice. You can add ice to to the dispensed water to make it cold. It's really not a bad unit, but don't expect cold water right out of the dispenser, without adding ice. Also, I did clean and rinse the unit out before using, and after running it several times, the water still has an after taste, which tastes like the plastic insides of the unit. Both the water and ice reservoirs aren't sealed airtight compartments, so they're exposed to the rest of the machine’s components, and anything in the air of the environment the unit is located in.Bottom line, I'm giving it 3 stars because it does what the description says it does, but it doesn't hold much water, so you'll be filling it often, and the water has a bad aftertaste that I'm not sure will go away. Also, the reservoirs should be sealed off from the environment.I have a Frigidaire ice maker only at work and I like it better than this one for the simple fact that the ice well is smaller inside. Whereas I can easily fill 2 to 3 glasses of ice from one at work, I can barely get 2 full glasses at home and it melts stuck together when it cranks out of the drop spout. Thw other issue is filling it with water from the side makes for difficulty when pouring a large container of water in it. The other downside is how loud it is when the ice drops and the motor is running to make new ice. It works well though until I find something else.This would be great if it held more ice at one timeThese ice machines are great. The only downfall is the ice melts fast.Perfect size for countertop. Ice size is great and taste good. Works perfect made my life easier!!Didn't produce enough. Loud. Quit after 1 year.Esta muy chica
