Do NOT put it in the dishwasher, it warped it so it would not lay flat anymore. Before that, product was great, eggs rolled to the front with our hesitationI love it.It works exactly as it’s supposed too. Holds a ton of eggs and moves them gently forward.This is a great product holds at least 60 large eggs, stays together really well, egg roll forward each time and has nice storage on the top. Not much wider than egg carton.I purchased this product because my family (fam of 7) goes through a lot of eggs and needed something that could hold at-least 60 eggs. Well this definitely holds more then 60 eggs. If you put them straight as advertised you will get 60 to fit in their easily. but if you push them all in and not necessarily straight you can fit more then 60 eggs. Very happy with purchase, I always get asked where I bought it from and like my usually answer is Amazon!Works great. I buy a lot of eggs at one time so I got the the three level egg keeper. Does a great job of feeding eggs forward As you use them. Every once in a while an egg won’t roll forward But that is the exception to the rule and usually they always do. I love it and I’m glad I bought itThis egg holder looked like a great idea for managing the eggs from our small flock of hens. Turns out it looks better than it works.Pros:- Holds a good number of eggs. I bought two levels, to hold 3 dozen eggs.- Rigid top allows non-egg items to be stacked on top of it with no harm to eggsCons:- Stock rotation (first in, first out). It’s challenging to rotate your stock if you use (and/or if the girls lay) less than six eggs at a time. Only the eggs at the front of each row are accessible unless you take off the lid, making it difficult to put new eggs behind older eggs. Which leads me to…- Gravity. This is designed with a gentle slope so that when the first egg in each row is removed, the remainder should roll to take its place, leaving the empty space in the back. In practice, this rolling effect does not reliably happen. One of my girls lays medium-sized eggs, and hers tend to roll not-quite-straight and end up resting at a slight angle, holding up everything behind it. The large eggs from the other girls roll better. Usually.- Use of fridge space. Because eggs are accessed from the front, this holder needs to be on the front edge of your fridge shelf if you want to use eggs from it. For me, that means I lose other fridge items that are inadvertently pushed behind it, and ultimately end up with more spoiled food (out of sight, out of mind!)- Moisture. Because this egg holder isn’t sealed, and egg shells are porous, the eggs lose moisture in the fridge. This isn’t noticeable until you use the egg, and isn’t specific to this egg holder - but something I didn’t think of until I realized it was happening.Bottom line: looked great initially, but after using it, I’m now looking to replace it with a different style.
