These are about the best coolers out there! I store dry ice in them and they keep it longer than any cooler I've tried. However, I didn't unbox this one until a week ago and realized it was white! I Have two smaller RTIC coolers and they are in light blue as needed for my business. I ordered this one in light blue but waited too long to open the box. Unfortunately I can't return it now and have no use it for.Just bought this puppy a few days ago. I prepped it for a long weekend trip with adding a few ice packs to cool it down early before we left. I think that helps instead of adding ice when it is warm from the garage. It was horrible out. 100 every day and direct heat near our camper. Beer was cold 3.5 days later when we got home. I just added 2 RTIC ice packs and 2 bags of ice. Would imagine we could have gotten the whole 4 days.Good quality and well made! Seems to have good seals and is air tight. My only qualm is that the rubber feet inhibit the ability to slide it around. When it is fully loaded it is pretty heavy and the ability to slide it would be nice.I do a 10 hour drive to the mountains and if I line this cooler with frozen water bottles (all 6 sides) I can make this drive and the frozen stuff stays frozen. I do drive at night but July is still hot at night!!!!Small team of 6 riders and 2 support drivers on RAGBRAI in Iowa. It kept us full of cold water bottles so we only resupply the cooler every other day. And ice lasted almost 3 days in the sun on back of truck. Keep the sunshine off the cooler by covering it with towel, worked even better. Drains were a great feature also.I purchased this for a cross-country drive to keep my food cool. Upon unboxing I was extremely impressed with the build quality and sturdiness of the cooler. The lid has a nice rubber gasket that seals securely around the perimeter lower section. It has dual drain plugs (1 large and 1 small) on either end that seal tightly and don't have to be removed to drain water. The attention to detail and quality on this cooler is "high value". For years I've used other (well-known/respected) cooler brands but they are no where near as good as this RTIC. I can keep the interior nice and cool for days in a hot car with a bag of ice. Like all coolers, it's going to lose its coolness over time but it lasts much longer than the el-cheapo $40-60 ones. Just be aware that the improved coolness duration is accomplished by much thicker walls and and secure lid seal. What I'm saying is these higher performance coolers are big on the outside and small on the inside so factor this in when packing your car or camper. Also, if you want to replace your old crappy cooler that loses its coolness in 1-2 days, measure its interior volume and match it to the interior volume of a new RTIC. Don't use the exterior dimensions if you want to have the same capacity. Remember “big on the outside small on the inside”. RTIC also has some great accessories (extra cost) that include a wire basket and freezer packs that all nicely fit inside the cooler. I purchased a basket that allowed me to better organize my food and 2 freezer packs that sit nicely along the bottom of the cooler. They are slimline and don’t take up much room. BTW: The size I bought will accommodate a gallon of milk standing upright. While this cooler is expensive at around $200 it is well worth the cost and will be the last cooler you’ll ever have to buy (unless of course you lose yours off your roof rack in the desert) :-) .Little hard to open, but learned to lift the sides easily then up. Much easier to open this way.I basically purchased this cooler to keep food in it with kool paks.I used this cooler for the first time for drinks for an overnight camp out. The ice had melted the next day.Next camping trip I will use for food.I had a 3 inch foam cooler I used the last few years and it needed to be replaced so I purchase this cooler.Hope it worksWell I went on another camping trip and I still don't think its a great cooler. I wish i had returned it after my first trip Thumbs Down
