I like this storage unit because it fits under my desk and it rolls out easily. However, when I put the plastic tabs on the hanging file folders they get stuck on the top part of the unit and is frustrating. This was easy to put together, is light and moves easily, and basically functional. However, the top file drawer is too close to the top shelf, the bottom file drawer is too close to the bottom of the top file drawer. This means that there's not enough space for the tabs on the folders, so they scrape against and snag on the shelves above them. There's also no back stop to the drawers, so they can slide right out, which is a negative.I tried to fix it by moving the top shelf up a notch, but you can't do that unless you can trim the bottom bolt on the shelf you are trying to move.So I ended up taking out the bottom file drawer, putting it down next to the file cart, and now I have essentially a one-drawer file cart with a drawer that moves easily and a generous top and bottom shelf. It works, but if they had just left a half-inch more space, it would work better and be a two-drawer file drawer.I was able to easily assemble this cart, with one exception. There are acorn nuts for the ends of the brackets. They are in pairs. One bracket of one pair was not threaded correctly, and it's not possible to get the nut, or another nut I had, on it to secure it. But, since they are in pairs, I assume the nut on the other bracket will hold.I'm using it in my shed to hold garden gloves, clippers, trowels, etc. It's got plenty of capacity, and surely could hold heavier items with no problem.I like that there are locks on one set of wheels. My only complaint about the design is that there are no "stops" on the drawers. If it was up against a wall, I guess that wouldn't be an issue, but my cart is not. Therefore, it's super easy to push the drawers out the back end of the cart -also, they slide very easily, and can easily be pulled all the way out. My solution was to put tiny bungee cords across the back of each drawer to keep it from falling out.Excited to receive these and get my mounds of filed paperwork stored and easily accessible from my desk. However, encountered a few minor issues and one major one that make me consider returning this and another matching item by the same Manufacturer.1. Assembly was pretty easy, but found if you tighten the nuts too much, the rounded cap will fall off leaving the exposed end of the metal bar sticking out. Not good, but luckily, only two fell off so those are in the back so I don't catch my clothes or get scratched by them.2. Having casters is nice, but they don't roll very well at all on low pile carpet. The casters do help to move them more easily, they just don't roll.3. There are no "stops" on any of the drawers. This might be by design, but it means that drawers will either go out the backside and bump the wall (which marks\dents my wall and my neighbor doesn't like), or completely fall out the front side if I'm not careful. If I decide to keep them, will definitely have to jury-rig some kind of stops for the drawers.4. In a previous review, another purchaser was not happy and noted that file folders don't slide. And I found that this is true! Further examination reveals that the reason they don't slide is because the drawers are too wide for a standard hanging file to sit properly on the glides. It's only a few millimeters, but just enough to prevent smooth sliding. This is a major problem, but again, if I decide to keep them, I will have to slightly bend in the sides of each drawer so that the hanging folders are aligned correctly.5. The BIGGEST problem, though, is that there's not enough distance ABOVE the drawers for a folder with standard height tabs inside a hanging folder, and especially hanging folders with built-in tabs to slide in and out without being scrunched on the top. I use hanging folders that have tabs built-in and they won't go in and out either. Since all my papers are in these tabbed hanging folders, I don't know how I might adjust for this and is why I will probably have to return them to Amazon for a refund. This makes me very sad. Had high hopes for these carts!Safeco black mesh cart w/1-file drawer and 2 smaller drawers: I read many reviews for this and similar products before buying. Easy to assemble even for 73-year-old me. It's even better than I expected, nice smooth mesh, easy slide drawers. I took advice from another reviewer and used 3 small bungee cords to prevent drawers sliding out the back, perfect solution! Was worried about the file drawer not properly holding hanging file folders because of some other reviews but although I can see what they mean, mine works fine for me (letter-size hanging files). I actually like that the files don't slip and slide too easily. Some people had asked if drawers can change position and YES, file drawer can be at bottom (my preferred position because of the weight of the files), in the middle, or on top.I had to call to ask one question: they don't tell you in the instructions that you need a rubber hammer (or something similar) to force the casters all the way down into the holes (2 locking casters go on front legs, regular casters on back legs). Unless you pound them down flush, the casters will be useless.Would definitely buy again. I'm very happy with my purchase. Thank you Safeco and Amazon!I bought this for my office & I didn't need the drawers to pull out of from ends so I crimped the "rail" so they would only slide out 1 way. Too bad I didn't try it out first because the hanging files get caught on the mesh sides so the files won't move smoothly and 1 side of the hanging file falls completely off the side. It was easy to put together and it's lightweight. Great IF you don't want to use hanging files. Please do not buy this, I loved the look of this cart, after putting it together, found out the hanging file folders do not slide at all. There is a design defect where the sides where the file folder is to slide is hindered by the mesh.Amazon just told me they cannot pick this up for the return, I will have to bring this physically to the post office, which this package is very heavy. So, all in all, DO NOT BUY THIS, you WILL return it.It was fairly easy to assemble but several of the fasteners had too much paint on the threads and couldn't be assembled. I had to carefully scrape the paint off and squeeze the bars in order to get them to fit. Not really easy to assemble without some tools but once it's together, its a good product.the casters easily fall out if you lift the cart; letter size hanging folders are not secure as the frame is too wide.Easy to build, nice to look at but i cannot hang files in the drawer as it is too wide for letter sizeIf you want something relatively functional at a low price (I paid about $65 CND) its ideal. It was really easy to assemble - the instructions were ok, but it does require some common sense/foresight during assembly. It works, the draws move - but its not on bearings so you get what you pay for....The only good thing about this file cart, is it's easy to put together. It shakes like a cheap want to be file cart, and the brakes don't work. For the price of this product, I would not pay that much. I could probably find one somewhere for about $39.99. I should have shopped around.
