It's a decent chair, especially for the price. Here are my pros and cons.Pros:It's tall enough to use with a standing desk. I can either just sit on it, or slightly rest on it to take a little strain off my legs throughout the day.I like that it locks in the furthest back position.I like that the seat rises as the back moves, but the seat rise is only subtle so that you aren't at 90° with the seat back all the way back.I like that it uses mesh material for the utmost in air flow, no sweaty bottom or back from sitting all day.The armrests are simple, only move up and down, but I like that they move low enough down to be out of my way when I don't want them and they don't hit my keyboard tray in this position. I debated putting them on at all, but figured I'd want them to hold the chair steady when sitting down or getting up.The drafting chair round footrest is great for when I want to fully sit, but don't feel the need to lower my desk or chair. The headrest looks like it sits too far in, but I generally find it to be in a good position. It can move up and down and tilt. I leave it just below my head at the top of my neck and find it fairly supportive.I really appreciate the degree of lean of the chair back. I have sciatica and other nerve issues with my lower back and being able to recline to 130° is particularly important to relieving some of the stress on my lower back. It's such a simple thing, but I like the little coat rack on the back. It's so annoying to drape a jacket with a zipper or buttons around the chair shoulders and have them poking into your back or arms.Cons:I'm 5'11" and at the lowest setting, the chair is still high enough that I can't put my feet flat on the ground. It doesn't bother me much, but to move around, I have to push with my forefoot. Each caster has a lock and they are super easy to flip down. I understand why they're there, this is a tall drafting chair after all, but they're a tad annoying.I'm not a large person, but even I can feel the plastic at the sides of the seat a little bit. More so if I man-spread. This aspect would make this chair uncomfortable on the sides of the thighs for anyone larger than 34 or maybe a 36" waist. The chair back is not adjustable up/down or in/out. Nor is the seat. There is a decent bend in the lumbar region, but it isn't adjustable and you can't add any additional support. I think the mesh does fine, but others might find it lacking. When wearing shorts, the mesh at the edge of the seat tends to rub on my skin, not particularly comfortable.I'm not sure about the longevity of the material. I fear sitting down with a pencil or other similar object in a pocket would easily damage it and it would shred to pieces shortly thereafter. This is only a concern though and I'll update this review with any changes or after a year of use to comment on longevity.Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with this chair. It does lack in configuration options and I do have concerns about the longevity of the material, but the rest of the build seems pretty sturdy. Assembly was easy, though the directions weren't as clear with regard to identifying which screws were which and there were extras that weren't called out in the instruction manual making you wonder if you missed a step. The main thing is that I needed a chair that had a decent lean angle and headrest, wasn't leather or non-breathable fabric, and I really wanted something that I could use while standing for additional support. This was the only chair I could find that checked off all those boxes.i have a drafting table - regular office chairs are too low for itthis one works with my tall table so it gets 5 starsi added silicone wheels because the plastic wheels that came with it scratched my old wood floorsthe seat has not ripped yet after 1 year+ so thats goodi may attach a neck pillow one day as i like to sit straight up (not leaning back at all) for extra neck support overall very happyI work at a standing desk and was using an old bar stool for a chair which was killing my back. This chair is super comfortable and I love the headrest and coatrack. I hate to admit it but the first time using it I actually dozed off while leaning back - that was a first!A couple downsides that I had to get used to:First, I thought I’d like the wheel locks but I find them annoying because I end up locking one wheel accidentally when I hop off the chair w/o realizing then I have to find the locked one each time so the chair rolls freely - I’ll probably swap out the wheels if I keep having the problem.Second, this chair looks huge when you walk into the room which I’m still getting used to.The comfort outweighs both of these issues in my mind making this chair a keeper - I wish I would have ordered one a while ago.I like that this chair forces you to sit properly so you don't end up with a strained back by the end of the day. We had originally bought this chair to replace my husband's broken gaming chair, but it turned out that it was too small for his frame. His shoulders were way too broad and wide, so he couldn't use this chair. I ended up switching chairs with him and took this one instead. We both work from home and need comfortable, ergonomic chairs to sit in all day. It's very comfortable, but it does sit up higher than my old office chair. Thankfully, I have a standing desk and I was able to raise my standing desk to adjust to the lowest height of the chair, which is still high for me (I'm 5' 2"). But it's great if you have a standing desk. I also don't like the locks on the castor wheels. We have a 1.5 year old boy and he's constantly pressing the locks on the wheels. I wouldn't know that the wheels are locked and when I try to move the chair closer to the desk, I would be stuck way up high and have to come down again to unlock the wheels lol. Overall though, it's a reasonably priced comfortable, ergonomic office chair, perfect for working from home. The chair is okay. The foot rest could have been a bit wider to seat the legs comfortably. A big drawback is that the backrest is fixed. It doesn't bend more than 5 degrees from the vertical. While a vertical backrest is okay from the long term posture standpoint, it is a bit difficult when you know that you don't have an option at all to lean back after you are tired of a single posture. I am pretty sure that a design team would be able to figure out these issues and come up with a reasonable compromise in future but at this point, it isn't that great. The head rest is not that comfortable either.A second aspect is that once you assemble the chair rod to the base, it won't come out again. So please check parts for defects before assembling.A third thing I want other customers to know is that I found the customer service to be not very understanding. For example when I sent them a picture of a torn string that is sticking out (that can potentially cause cuts on skin) and asked for a replacement of that part only (seat base), they said it is a misalignment due to workmanship and they don't consider it a defect. I did not agree with the response but since the return window wasn't over, I was able to call Amazon and get the money refunded. (I didn't drag the thread with their Nouhaus customer service any further because I felt it was pointless to do so after they made it clear that they wouldn't entertain an such claim). Imagine what would have happened if you discover the defect or the product failed after the return period is over. As a rule of thumb, I do not buy from sellers who can't put customers first.Early days yet but the experience was pretty good for this chair. I prefer to sit on a higher chair than an average office/task/gaming chair so this drafting one was right in the wheelhouse and goes great with a sit-stand desk. Instructions were fairly easy to follow but there was also a YouTube video for the assembly that made the process even easier and more simple - definitely would recommend but cannot comment on the longevity of the chair. The chair was perfect for my standing desk. As I don’t have the luxury of having an adjustable desk, having a chair that adjusts did the trick. I love it!The product seat mesh stitching came out within 1 week of use
